Journalism with range and perspective

I am a veteran Indian television journalist, news anchor, editor, writer and media professional with more than 26 years of experience across broadcast, digital and public platforms. I have served in senior editorial and anchoring roles at Zee News, ABP News, India News, India TV, Rajya Sabha TV, Star News, Sahara India, ETV Urdu and Jain TV.

My public voice is shaped by three overlapping worlds: the urgency of live news, the discipline of editorial judgement and the literary instinct of a writer who notices the human story inside public life.

My television work covers prime-time news and debate shows, elections, special bulletins, breaking-news coverage, public debates and ground reports. I have interviewed political leaders, Chief Ministers, Union and Cabinet Ministers, and personalities from many fields. My assignments have taken me across India, including live Republic Day and Independence Day broadcasts from the Wagah-Attari Border.

Award-winning prime time

My prime-time programme Jaagte Raho received an ENBA Award in 2022 in the Best Prime Time Show – Hindi category. My other recognised television work includes Ghanti Bajao at ABP News and Taal Thok Ke and Deshhit at Zee News.

Writing, radio and the stage

Alongside television, I have written hundreds of articles and features for leading Hindi newspapers and magazines, including Jansatta, Dainik Hindustan, Navbharat Times, Amar Ujala, Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Rashtriya Sahara and Outlook. My Hindi satire collection Chautha Bandar was published in 2009.

I have written devotional songs for T-Series, worked with All India Radio as an announcer and drama artist, anchored major cultural and musical events across India, and appeared as an invited poet at Kavi Sammelans and Mushairas. I also continue to work in audio and digital storytelling.

I regularly share newsroom experience with students and young journalists, including a 2026 “Prime Time to Newsroom” workshop at Maharishi University of Information Technology in Noida.
